Craniosacral therapy is a somatic, body-based modality that helps calm the nervous system. My approach blends craniosacral therapy, energy healing, and intuitive guidance into one deeply restorative session.
Craniosacral therapy is an intuitive hands-on modality that works with the body’s natural rhythms to support the craniosacral system.
Rooted in osteopathy, it was developed by osteopathic physician John E. Upledger.
By lightly touching different areas of the body, subtle patterns of tension or restriction are detected allowing the body to soften and unwind.
Rather than following a set formula, craniosacral therapy taps into the wisdom of your body to heal.
Each session unfolds uniquely and your body is encouraged to tell its own story.
Each session blends craniosacral therapy, energy healing, and intuitive guidance. As a result, healing is supported on a physical, energetic, and intuitive level.
I use a combination of:
- light somatic touch
- nervous system attunement
- intuitive guidance
- energy work
The primary focus of my practice is helping women who are dealing with:
- Trauma (including cPTSD)
- Grief
- Stress
- Anxiety
I also love supporting women as they transition through different stages of life as well as healers, caregivers, and light workers who support others.
This work is helpful if you are:
- seeking an approach that blends somatic, energetic, and intuitive support
- craving a calm & grounded space to unwind
- overwhelmed, burnt out, or emotionally overloaded
- feeling disconnected from yourself or others
What does "regulating the nervous system" mean? Mainly, it's about supporting your body so it doesn’t stay stuck in survival mode.
Your nervous system is always scanning for safety or danger. When it feels safe, you’re in a state where you can rest, connect, and think clearly.
When it senses threat, it shifts into fight, flight, freeze, or shutdown (sometimes called "fawn").
Regulation means being able to move between those states fluidly and return to baseline instead of constantly feeling on-edge or shut down.
A regulated nervous system makes it easier to:
- Rest, relax, and heal
- Stay present
- Connect with others
- Feel safe in your body
- Trust your intuition
- Respond to challenges with flexibility
An “unregulated” nervous system isn’t broken, it’s just caught in survival mode for longer than is useful.
A note about trauma.
I first started studying trauma in 1999 when I took a course at university called "Healing Generational Trauma" taught by renowned expert Jane Middelton-Moz.
It helped me understand my own experience of trauma and those around me, including my own family. Since then, I've taken a deep dive into studying trauma and its many complexities.
I've learned a lot over the past 26 years and the most profound thing is this: In order to heal trauma effectively, we cannot work with our thoughts, emotions, and memories alone.
We must also work with our body.
Trauma lives in our body and it must be included in the healing process.
"Trauma is not what happens to you.
It's what happens inside you."
- Gabor Maté

Nervous system regulation refers to supporting the body so it does not remain stuck in survival states such as fight, flight, freeze, or shutdown. A regulated nervous system can move fluidly between states and return to a sense of baseline safety.
When the nervous system feels supported, it becomes easier to rest, connect, think clearly, and respond to life with flexibility rather than reactivity.
Many people seek craniosacral therapy as a trauma-informed, somatic approach to supporting anxiety, stress, and nervous system dysregulation. Sessions emphasize safety, presence, and allowing the body to move out of survival patterns gradually without force.
This work does not require retelling traumatic experiences and can be supportive for those who feel overwhelmed, burnt out, or disconnected from their bodies.
Yes. I offer in-person craniosacral therapy in Nanoose Bay, BC, and regularly work with clients from Nanaimo, Parksville, and the Oceanside area.
"You're like a head on a stick". That's what a healer once said to me, referring to the lack of connection I had to my own body.
I laughed, thinking "what does my body have to do with anything?"
Fast forward many years later and I finally got it. I'd spent several years in talk therapy (which was incredibly helpful) but I'd often felt like something was missing.
Once I started to include my body in my healing process, big shifts happened. I was finally able to move past several years of trying to figure it out the best way I knew how. By thinking about it. Analyzing it. Trying to understand what had happened on an intellectual level.
I believe that healing is always possible. My hope for you and for anyone dealing with any sort of pain or discomfort is to find a way to connect with your body.
Even if you feel numb, like I did.
Your body is the gateway to profound healing. It's storing valuable information and it has something important to tell you.
Your job is simply to listen. I can help.
